THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a Supervisory Supply Technician (Title 5), Position Description Number T572600 and is part of the VA 192 FTR WG, National Guard.

Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Supply Technician , GS-2005-10, you will perform the below duties:
  • As an immediate (first level) supervisor, plans, organizes and directs the activities of the equipment management, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while meeting customer needs.
  • Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and equipment management and stock control objectives. Researches, interprets, analyzes and applies equipment management business practices contained primarily in AFMAN 23-110, along with other Air Force instructions.
  • Establishes policies and procedures for the accomplishment of equipment and stock control program. Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Coordinates, plans, and schedules with other organization managers and customers as appropriate. Identifies need for changes in priorities and takes action to implement such changes.( %)2. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules.
  • Assigns work to subordinates based on organization priorities and consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs. Provides technical oversight; provides recommendation for administrative actions, personnel evaluations or ratings and duty assignments. Interviews candidates for subordinate positions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

WHO CAN APPLY:

GROUP A - All On Board Federal National Guard Employees within VANG.
GROUP B - All current Federal Employees (from any agency), all federal re-employable eligible, and/or Current Army M-Day and Air DSG within VANG.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience in clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least 12 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
  • Planning, organizing and directing the activities of the equipment management, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, while meeting customer needs.
  • Developing goals and objectives that integrate organization and equipment management and stock control objectives.
  • Researching, interpreting, analyzing and applying equipment management business practices contained primarily in AFMAN 23-110, along with other Air Force instructions.
  • Establishing policies and procedures for the accomplishment of equipment and stock control program.
