FIELD TECHNICIAN ROCKVILLE 4am start time Job Description: *Inspect and restock spill kits *Perform weekly waste collections and segregation according to log sheets and on-call by request *Barcode In/Out of chemicals on site *Perform ADC Suite burn box collections *Perform chemical waste reduction through use of chemical distillation *Responsible for installation of proper waste containers to HPLC/AKTA and additional lab equipment *Responsible for collection and segregation of universal waste from all client sites *Responsible for collection, weighing and packaging of animal waste and regulated waste *Assist with waste container remediation of process wastes *Assist with spill clean up *Assist Hazardous Waste Project Lead in self audits and keeping the site audit ready *Assist Chemical Inventory Project Lead with distribution of Chemshare chemicals *Assist Chemical Inventory Project Lead with Chemshare inventory/ running the Chemshare program *Assist/Lead interns with annual chemical inventory for all laboratory sites *Assist GBSHE/Lab Ops with glassware and plastic recycling initiatives *Administrative tasks (scanning documentation, responding to emails, etc.) Job Requirements: - 2+ years experience dealing with hazardous waste strongly preferred -24-HR Hazwoper trained individuals with knowledge in chemistry, hazardous waste and hazardous materials packing, labeling, disposal and transportation is preferred - Knowledge of DOT/EPA/OSHA/RCRA regulations strongly preferred; - Mechanically inclined and can maintain lab equipment; Job Requirements: - 2+ years experience dealing with hazardous waste strongly preferred -24-HR Hazwoper trained individuals with knowledge in chemistry, hazardous waste and hazardous materials packing, labeling, disposal and transportation is preferred - Knowledge of DOT/EPA/OSHA/RCRA regulations strongly preferred; - Mechanically inclined and can maintain lab equipment;
