Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldEngineering Technician IV - Signals AnalystDuties, Experience, Skills, Requirements, and Information: This position will serve as Intelligence Threat Analyst for the Advanced Dynamic Measurement System (ADAMS) and Electronic Warfare (EW) Teams at the Atlantic Test Range (ATR), Patuxent River, MD. As part of a larger test team, the Analyst will work in a rewarding technical environment supporting EW and aircraft signature measurements..Apply analytic and systematic approaches to characterize the performance of electronic systems, such as ground, naval, and airborne radar systems.Perform threat signal development and analysis to support ATR fixed and mobile EW RF simulators and advanced RF signal generators.Utilize the EWIRDB and NASIC OPANA software suite of tools to generate the waveform files required for ATRs EW stimulators and RF signal sources.Work with other ATR signal analysts to perform quality control review and adjudicator of EW signals generated and collected via in-house receiver systems (ie Mini-IEP, N-Ask VR2, and 3-DB Labs MONARCH/SPECTRE system).Work directly with intelligence analysts and collaborate with Department of Defense (DoD) national research laboratories, test and evaluation organizations, and military EW reprogramming centers to solve the challenging issues of next-generation EW and intelligence mission data (IMD).A minimum of 8 years' experience in performing the stated or similar job functions is required.Knowledge of ground, naval and aircraft radar, radar warning receivers, communications, electronic attack, identify friend or foe, navigation, electro-optical/infrared, weapon systems, and other onboard electronic systems required.Understanding of radar waveforms, complex modulations, antenna systems, radar signal processing, and signal analysis is required.Familiarity with military/intelligence databases (EWIRDB, KILTING, EPL, CED, OEEM, EIM) is highly desired.Familiarity with the military/intelligence process of electronic signal collection, analysis, and dissemination is a plusShould be familiar with the Midas Blue/Platinum IC data format and experienced with MATLAB, Python and other software-based simulation. Knowledge/experience working within the intelligence community highly desired.Military experience is a plus.Knowledge of Test Range Operations a plus.Should be able to support a dynamic work schedule and some travel will be requiredApplicant must possess a valid driver's license.Note: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job.It is not intended to be an exhaustive list or to limit the supervisor's ability to modify work assignments as appropriate.Education Required:Successful completion of advanced armed services technical school curriculum; or completion of at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of courses at an accredited college, university, or technical school in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum highly desired.High school diploma or equivalent is requiredSecurity Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and hold a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.
