We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Web Content Manager to join our team in Alexandria, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems. The Web Content Manager will analyze, evaluate, and recommend content management campaigns, policies and information architectures that support high quality, portable and useful content. Position requires the use of tools such as Microsoft's Search Server, Index Server, Autonomy Search Software, as well as Google and Bing Webmaster Tools and/or similar products to optimize federated content searches across the enterprise. Enterprise content includes documents, web pages, and structured data. The successful candidate will also have extensive experience in conducting focus groups, surveys, and or analysis of web traffic data. Experience with Google Analytics, Webtrends, AngelFish or similar products is required. The successful candidate will be proficient in the collection and analysis of relevant data, the distillation of data into recommendations for enterprise content managers, the education of stakeholders in optimizing content in support of federated searches, and the measurement of key metrics to determine the efficacy of implemented recommendations. This position is not solely information based or just standard report creation and does have a certain amount of latitude to inject creative/innovative ideas that support marketing and branding objectives. The target candidate will have good general knowledge of most everything that is the "web" whether internally or externally focused. Candidates with excellent information quality experience and marketing, business, and or journalism/editorial backgrounds should apply. Coding experience not required but good HTML and PHP experience strongly preferred. Job Duties Include: * Support operations and development environment to optimize search capability across multiple applications and resources. * Expected to learn and understand all search vehicles in use and have the ability to provide recommendations/guidance on search configuration, metadata, taxonomy, search keyword optimization, and user support. * Make design recommendations as it applies to search, user experience, managing broken/ recommended links, identifying strategic search capabilities, and leveraging new technology to enhance user search and retrieval experience. * Function in an operational role with day-to-day hands-on support for search & retrieval functions to include search configuration and optimization as a search administrator. * Assist in the development, planning and organization of training and reference materials to support end user experience as well as standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals supporting search and content administration. * Traffic analysis in support of content quality metrics * Analysis of content organization in support of restructuring by audience/role * Analysis of content organization in support of restructuring by topic/function * Ongoing recommendations in support of higher content quality, footprint reduction, efficiency * Evaluation of security posture and status as it relates to content * Analysis of content (verbiage) to assist document retention policy development * Manage/Administer CBP Google Analytics (GA) accounts; prepare standard periodic and ad-hoc web analytics reports (including web traffic, internal and external search keywords and phrases), being able to recognize, research and interpret anomalies in web traffic * Manage/Administer GA user accounts, create segments and views * Manage/Administer GTM user accounts, and configure tags and triggers * Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills: * Hands-on HTML and scripting experience. Coding is not part of the job but strong knowledge and understanding required to assist content owners * Experience utilizing and supporting enterprise search capability. Skill set must include the ability to transfer analysis outcomes into system configuration recommendations, optimized searching, usability, and improved information architecture to enhance portability, quality, security, and user experience. * Must be a team player and have the ability to work effectively with others supporting search, analytics, document management and content quality functions * Possess the ability to analyze various data sets, web traffic, search keywords and provide search/content optimization strategy/configuration * Experience with content management system (CMS) architecture experience (Drupal desired) * Google Analytics experience (including campaign management) with at least some Google Tag Manager familiarity. * Must possess proven experience with analysis/configuration support using leading search tools and technologies * Strong understanding of document optimization including but not limited to web pages, MS Office documents, images and PDF files * Clear, concise and effective oral and written communication skills with both with highly technical teams and non-technical content owners * Being able to simplify highly technical subjects to educate/train non-technical customers and content owners. * Good customer service skills * Adaptive to changing work environments and schedules * Bachelor's degree and 8 year's relevant experience or equivalent Desired Skills: * Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc); SharePoint experience a plus * Experience with MS Index Server, MOSS 2007 Search Server, Sharepoint, other Intranet portals, search products like Autonomy/Verity, Webtrends, and/or AngelFish equivalents. * Strong understanding of Google Analytics * Basic understanding of (Familiarity with) cloud technologies, Office 365, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Government Eligibility Requirements: * Candidate selected must be a US Citizen per contractual requirements.
