Seeking a Cloud Engineer with Azure to support a new five (5) year federal contract in Washington DC. The Cloud Engineer will lead the planning, designing, and implementation efforts of the overall Cloud architecture as well as the migration of data and systems interfaces and application development efforts. Responsibilities: - Lead cloud based system engineering activities and software development efforts to include creation of OPIC artifacts, manage requirements and traceability, establish and manage System Engineering processes and plans. - Provide insight and advice to senior managers and executives, concerning the strategic direction applicability of cloud and cloud related enterprise-based products. - Lead modernization activities focused on the consideration of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and cloud solutions that will meet the Legacy Applications modernization objectives to support Customer Business processes - Perform the required analysis and to establish software and data systems information requirements and design specifications using methodologies for the development of prototype and/or large-scale hardware and software-based information processing systems and cloud based Software as a Solution (SaaS) products - Develop and update Technical Documents, OPIC Artifacts, Engineering Management Plan Reviews, System Integrator Deliverable Reviews, and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) - Participate in technical assessments and reviews to validate the technical approach and associated work products, designs and implementation plans - Participate in Engineering Review Board (ERB) and CMB - Develop and update Engineering Memorandums of Understandings, Engineering Memorandums of Agreements and Service Level Agreements - Develop and update Interoperability certification requirements and specifications - Develop and update system performance requirements - Develop and recommend evaluation criteria needed to perform best value assessments of proposed modernization solutions - Support briefings and other presentations to customers and stakeholders on a wide range of technical and other program topics - Design the software and data architectures to optimally support the total systems requirements of the customer - Lead software development activities including; conduct of technical requirements analysis, design, development, performance measurement, verification and validation, deployment, change management, and transition - Support the design and development of system-to-system interface documents including System Interface Agreements - Contribute to the planning, designing and implementation of the overall Cloud architecture to protect the program infrastructure and provide a secure method of accessing applications and the Internet and contributing to program life cycle activities to obtain Authority To Operate (ATO) certificates If you're an Azure Cloud Engineer with the ability to obtain a Public Trust, please APPLY for immediate consideration. #CB Required Skills - Must be US Citizen due to gov't contract requirements - Must be able to obtain a Public Trust (active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred). Must have had a Public Trust within last 2 years - Bachelor's degree required and 9+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be used in lieu of a degree; additional education or relevant higher-level certifications may be used in lieu of experience. - At least 2 or more years of experience designing, developing and implementing and securing cloud environments. - At least 2 or more years of experience with SaaS, PaaS or other cloud based security frameworks. - Experience with one or more cloud-based application platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure and have previous experience consulting on architecting the implementation of a wide range of innovative cloud security use cases. - Experience working with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and Oracle in a cloud environment - At least 5 years of experience engineering complex integrated systems that apply COT/Opensource database and middle ware products - At least 2 years of experience engineering complex system that take advantage of COTs/Opensource database and middleware products in the cloud - Strong communications skills (both written and oral), strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary. - Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
