IT Support Technician (Tier 3) Iron Bow Technologies has an immediate need for an experienced IT Support Tech interested in a (Tier 3) End User Technical Support opportunity in Fairfax, VA The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering end user support for the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) by providing comprehensive IT support to users at customer site(s) throughout the Fairfax area Position Responsibilities Primarily responsible for end-to-end IT infrastructure support Provide comprehensive and timely resolution of all end user technical issues Responsible for break/fix software & hardware support (OEM-certified warranty repairs) Deliver smart-hands support for networks, servers and VoIP technologies Perform IT asset disposal and maintain accurate asset inventory Support users remotely accessing services via shipping replacement devices or leveraging 3rd party hardware repair (or other form of onsite support as needed) Troubleshoot issues involving applications on and off premise (eg cloud) Support will be provided via remote administration tools and/or deskside Onsite support for incidents, service requests and changes as needed Responsible for end user device configuration and imaging Perform application installations, patch and driver update testing and distribution Responsible for device, operating system, software and application troubleshooting Execution of system update and/or restoration activities as necessary Experience Requirements At least 6 years of experience in IT support / Help Desk space is required Substantial experience performing technical and system analysis and diagnostics Proven ability in the identification and resolution of user IT issues up to the Tier 3 level Several years' experience testing, troubleshooting and repairing user devices Strong expertise in device, operating system, software and application troubleshooting CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Sec+) are preferred Candidates with Dell Certified Technician, HP Certified Repair, Microsoft, Apple or related IT certifications are highly encouraged to apply Must be comfortable adapting to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts if/as necessary Superior customer service and communication skills are needed High School diploma (OR equivalent combination of experience & education) Valid driver's license is required Must be able to successfully pass background check (requirements vary) Iron Bow Technologies is a leading IT solution provider dedicated to successfully transforming technology investments into business capabilities for government, commercial and healthcare clients.
