This individual will be responsible for a wide range of project management activities related to the client's capital facilities improvement program. The facilities project manager will provide support to a federal agency's real property program management office located in Washington, DC, Euless, Texas, Laguna Niguel, CA and Indianapolis, IA, and work out of the client's office in Washington, DC. Responsibilities This position will serve as a project manager responsible for assisting a federal agency execute major facilities development and construction, which generally consists of the life cycle planning and execution of facilities and infrastructure along the borders of the United States. The project manager shall have experience in project management including planning, acquisition, execution, controlling and closing of significant facilities projects. A background in design and or construction management is highly desired. The candidate shall have strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to deliver "innovative solutions" and possess the skill of "creative problem solving". Qualifications 8+ years' experience in project management.Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plusRegistered Professional Engineer is a plusCertified Construction Manager (CCM) and or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred but not required.Demonstrated ability to effectively work in both a team environment and an independent setting.Experience in one or more of the following areas:Construction managementFacilities and infrastructure developmentCivil/site design experienceCapital program management in the federal environmentHomeland security facilitiesField technology deployment project managementFamiliarity in one or more of the following areas:MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPointExperience with Microsoft Project or Primavera is a plusStrong candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in working with multiple stakeholders and building consensusExperience in managing simultaneously, multiple projects with independent schedules and budgetsApplicants selected for this position will be subject to a comprehensive government security investigation must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
