As a member of the Platform Internal Tools team, you will be chartered build the tool stack from scratch and operate all facets of platform internal tools. You will have a direct impact on the customers? usability of the cloud, and for how it is monitored and managed. This is your opportunity to explore this from a green-field perspective. . There are 4 teams under platform internal tools; access control, enforcement, cloud administrator, and a common data plane. Access Control deals with permissions and credentials - real time and just in time. Enforcement manages the cloud access policies across all realms and regions. Cloud administrator will be the tool with which we glean intelligence about customer?s services, usage, billing, commitments etc., while also managing the internal cloud for OCI ? creating internal subscriptions, cross-charging, limits, capacity approvals, etc. The common data plane is envisioned to be the underpinnings for the administrator, while also functioning as an abstraction layer for any service wanted to understand the cloud performance. Think of it as a highly available with low latency data abstraction service, having a grand data model at its core that enables deep business analytics such as anti-fraud and usage scenarios. . Required Qualifications . 7+ years software engineering experience . Hands-on experience contributing code to production systems or services . Solid development experience in Java, C++, C#, or similar OO languages . Experience with at least one scripting language for automating tasks, proof of concept work, or command line tools . Preferred Qualifications. Experience working on service-oriented architectures and RESTful web services . Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (eg, AWS, Azure, Oracle) .
