A very well-known non-profit, located in DC, is currently seeking a Desktop Technician with strong communication skills and a highly technical thinking process. This person will responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Windows 7 & 8 and Mac, Microsoft Office products, printers, etc. for end users, and assisting clients and instructing them on best practices through email and phone queries. The Technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues and documenting their escalation and resolution while providing training for customers on client products and usage. The position would be a 6 month contract to hire and would provide a great opportunity to grow your tech stack while playing a pivotal role in growing the company. Required Skills

· Strong technical background, including understanding of Networking, Internet services and email

· Previous experience working with Windows OS (7 or 8)

· Experience working with Mac devices is a big plus

· Must have 1-3+ years of experience with Active Directory

· Knowledge of remote login software

· Prior use of a ticket management system

· Experience providing IT support to end-users
