TRACE is a non-profit membership association that pools resources to provide practical and cost-effective anti-bribery compliance solutions for multinational companies and their commercial intermediaries. TRACE is seeking an Application Development Manager based in our Annapolis, MD office. The Manager will be responsible for managing a team of employees and contractors who support all stages of the development and operational lifecycle of TRACE's Third Party Management System (TPMS). The TPMS is a scalable cloud-based platform for multiple applications for managing third party risk and other compliance activities. This position will include gathering functional and non-functional requirements from the business, through development and testing to operational maintenance. This position will manage both the business and technical aspects of the TPMS including improving the underlying architecture. The Application Development Manager will work with the IT Manager to optimize TPMS performance and security within an overall enterprise architecture. Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams to develop and operationalize new features and products for the TPMS in either agile or traditional development environments Manage full product lifecycle, from the planning to tracking progress and milestones of development, to measuring product performance at regular intervals after launch Technical knowledge to include data connectivity, data migration, API, SaaS, Microsoft Azure platform, SQL server, relational databases, and web architecture Collaborate with IT Manager on implementation of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and principles, and on IT Security. Collaborate with stakeholders for effective product requirements gathering, operational and go-to-market execution and communication Compile and create user stories and product specifications in different formats such as functional requirements in alignment with engineering team Build and prioritize product backlog to ensure works focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product vision, strategy and customers' needs Produce wireframe solution for new functionality and rapid prototyping Define acceptance criteria and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) that ensures products meet customer and regulatory requirements such as GDPR and ISO 27001 Facilitate sprint meetings with the engineering team and meetings with stakeholders and clients Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and maintain relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders and partners Prior experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and advanced Excel skills Strong passion for leveraging data to solve problems and enhance UX Ability to obtain and interpret market research and analytics to help determine customers' future needs Works with Engineering to understand design or technology implications in solution ideas Works with customer support to triage reported issues and decide on course of actions Manage and track KPIs for functionality delivered Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics or equivalent work experience 3-5 years of relevant work experience in technical product management Project Management (PMI Certification preferred) IT Security (Security+ or similar preferred) Technical Capacity (Technical Certifications (eg, Microsoft) preferred) Experience defining business objectives and product strategy working with technical and non-technical teams to deliver your vision Ability to work in cross functional teams communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical environments Experience working with developers translating product requirements into technical scope Experiencing driving product development lifecycle across organization boundaries Experience building customer facing applications or services Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills Qualified candidates should send a resume and cover letter to: careers@traceinternational.org for consideration.
