Job Description: In this role you will provide emergency care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department; coordinate with their care team and facility staff to deliver high quality care on site. You'll interact closely with the facility staff and various healthcare providers throughout the site; educating, building relationships and showing leadership in how to best address the complex needs of each patient. This is a long-term locum tenens 1099 position. Primary Responsibilities: Basic emergency medicine procedures and diagnoses in the emergency department Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations Provide counsel and medical treatment to patients Educate patients on overall wellness and health maintenance Develop and implement patient management plans Maintain a safe and clean work environment Qualifications Previous experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner Familiarity with emergency department procedures Ability to build rapport with patients Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Site Information Annual Volume: 51 k visits annually ED Beds: 41 Fast Track: Yes Advanced Practitioner Coverage: 58hr/day Physician Coverage: 41 hours/day Credentialing: 60 days Required Qualifications: Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of Maryland Ability to obtain DEA licensure/Prescriptive Authority post-hire in Maryland Past experience working in an emergency department as an Advanced Practitioner
