2019 has seen this client expand aggressively into the US. This is one of a number of second round hires being made po the commercial team. Joining a team of 2, the Business Development Manager, will be responsible initially for directly building a pipeline of leads and opportunities, qualifying leads from events / shows and in-bound enquiries / leads, and then assigning to the appropriate field sales rep. Additionally the BDM will handle the on-going relationship and operational engagement with a 3rd party lead generation organisation and ensuring SalesForce is kept up to date as regards all leads, including chasing the field sales team on their lead follow up. The role is an individual contributor role but we're looking for candidates with the potential to progress as the team grows. Responsibilities include; . Manage & grow the lead generation process . Evaluate and review any appropriate consumer research, point-of-sale and syndicated data to formulate a strategy to achieve growth objectives,working in co-ordination with the field sales team . Create, follow up and qualify leads acquired through profiling, prospecting, through events or generated through marketing campaigns . Be actively involved in developing customer contacts, and exploring new Enterprise, SMB and US Public sector revenue opportunities. . Identify and understand client needs and provide feedback on lessons learned, profile knowledge and customer drivers at each quarterly business review . Work in synch with each of the field sales team to build a pipeline of leads for both new logo opportunities as well as growing opportunities and contacts in existing accounts and opportunities . Communicate and coordinate sales efforts, reports and information to management . Interact with existing customers to increase product sales opportunities and expansion into existing accounts / opportunities, and build awareness. Respond to inquiries . Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conferences and trade shows as needed . Work closely and pro-actively with the Marketing Department to co-ordinate lead generation . Be the liasion between our client and external lead generation Channels/Companies 2-4 years' experience in a similar role would be ideal.
