Duties & Responsibilities: Primary responsibility: plan, produce, and oversee execution of marketing and communications plan activities including integrated marketing plans for NCMA's three major National events including: social media, online ads and retargeting, direct mail, email, website, and collateral materials for both member and nonmember lead list. Secondary responsibility: oversee and assist with organization and coordination of event production (AV/video). Including scripting for brand, run of show and production cohesiveness. Marketing duties: Ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, producing, and delivering event marketing and communications materials Work with NCMA's design vendor to develop and utilize graphic assets for each event, including logos, signage, video, and presentations Develop and oversee the event communications calendar to ensure timely execution of programs Analyze marketing and communications programs and make recommendations to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness Participate in budget development and support budget management Use independent judgment to execute marketing and communications plan Prepare written materials including some marketing copy, business communications, reports, and presentation scripts Write and distribute press releases as necessary Be responsible for ensuring accuracy in information and proofreading Maintain relationships with key sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and partners while managing the marketing deliverables associated with each group in accordance to any agreed upon contract. Events duties: Assist with overall management of on-site production, including, but not limited to: Conduct research, make site visits, and identify branding opportunities where applicable Execute scripting opportunities from the NCMA brand perspective. Ensure day of script(s) is/are one voice. Keep messaging on track. Serve as creative liaison to Meetings and Events Director for main stage execution, lighting and intro/exit music for speakers. Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, focus in marketing, communications, or public relations preferred. 3-5 years' experience in event marketing and/or planning Association management experience preferred, but not required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Website design, web editing (WYSISYG editor), and/or XML/HTML experience preferred. Experience with Cvent preferred. Working knowledge and experience in database administration/management preferred. Strong working knowledge of social media outlets and scheduling applications (ex. Twitter, HootSuite, LinkedIn, etc.). Project management skills, including the ability to lead projects requiring collaboration with other departments/staff. Strong attention to detail. Discretion with sensitive business and financial information. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience in managing multiple tasks within aggressive deadlines. Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of people (C-level to students). Working knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign a plus. What's Attractive to the Candidate?
