The Estimator/Project Manager will design, price and submit proposals as well as manage projects with the Field Technicians and follow up with customers on current proposal status. The right individual will be responsible for estimating the correct labor and materials off of blueprints for projects ("takeoffs") using computer estimation software. The right candidate should meet the following: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus Must have at least 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator and project management in the commercial tenant/retail construction industry Prior experience managing and supervising staff is highly preferred Must have at least 5 years' prior experience as a field electrician ConEst and SimPro software experience highly preferred Must be computer literate and be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel) Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol and background screen About us: Walter Electric is the fastest growing electrical contractor in the area.
