Job Summary/Company: Our partner, a progressive nonprofit focused on enhancing economic opportunities for LGBT-owned organizations, is seeking a motivated Supplier Diversity Associate to join their dynamic team. If you are have a strong customer service background, are interested in bolstering your client relationship management skills, and are passionate about expanding opportunities for the LGBT community, this could be the opportunity for you!

While based in Washington, D.C., this program will require occasional travel to NYC.

Responsibilities:
  • Guide local businesses in New York City through the certification process while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining consistent communication and engagement
  • Assist in preparation of certification materials and maintain an updated database
  • Manage regular orientations for new members to provide a comprehensive overview of program options for newly certified business owners
  • Assist in marketing the benefits of program participation to constituencies, drafting related correspondence, and creating profiles of business owners

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience, preferably in a client relationship or business development field
  • Exceptional attention to detail, in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to NYC on a monthly basis
  • Ability to work on a team and in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience with CSM tools (Salesforce, iMIS, etc.) preferred
  • Sales cycle experience a plus
