This position leads the operations of the cardiovascular service line at Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center, a tertiary cardiac program with excellent outcomes that is the flagship cardiac hospital within the Adventist HealthCare system of three acute care hospitals and other health care services in the Maryland suburbs. The position also provides input and guidance on strategic initiatives around growth and program development. The position reports to the Vice President of Business Development for White Oak Medical Center who leads the Adventist HealthCare cardiovascular service line.

Job Duties:
Collaborates with Senior Executives to formulate annual operating and capital budgets. Administers approved budgets to meet or exceed financial performance targets. Fosters an atmosphere supportive of ethical behavior and the spirituality of each individual. Participates in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and business development. Leads the division in Performance Improvement initiatives to deliver superior outcomes. Engineers a work environment that encourages customer service excellence and the optimum performance of each individual. Leads effectively while exercising duties and responsibilities. Adheres to, and holds people accountable for, adhering to the Adventist HealthCare RISES values: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, Stewardship. Creates a collaborative environment with key stakeholders including physicians, employees and others in pursuit of patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes.

Qualified candidates will possess:
• Valid MD Nursing License
• Bachelor's Degree, BSN preferred
• Minimum 8 years clinical experience with 3-5 years progressive management experience
• BLS Certification and valid specialty certification to perform in clinical areas as needed
• Demonstrated leadership ability, able to take initiative in a multiple-priority environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and seek creative solutions
• Ability to develop and implement operational and capital budgets
• Ability to diplomatically manage crisis situations and resolve customer service issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and the Hospital Operating System
