Summary

This position is located in the Food and Drug Administration, Office of Human Resources, Office of Human Capital Management, Performance Management Team, which provides oversight, management, and leadership of the reward and recognition programs for General Schedule and Senior Executive Service employees.

Responsibilities

  • Advise managers providing information regarding the agency?s Performance Management and Awards Program.
  • Advise executives providing information regarding the agency?s Executive Performance Program.
  • Use human resources web-based applications to support the analysis and compliance of the agency Performance and Award Program.
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers on HR regulations processes and goals governing performance management and awards.
  • Establish and maintains a positive working partnership with serviced customers.
  • Distribute regular informational communications and prepares program-related events, training, or other informational presentations.
  • Review performance management and awards documentation and provide managers and OHCM leadership with final analysis.

Qualifications

The position of Human Resources Specialist (Performance Management) falls within the 0201 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-12/13, you must meet Time-in-Grade requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 10/17/2019.
In addition to meeting the Time-In-Grade reguirement, you must also have the qualifying specialized experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-12:

Applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
Specialized experience for the GS-12 is experience researching, analyzing, and applying policies, regulations and standard procedures to perform work in a human resources program area such as performance management awards and recognition.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-13:
Applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience for the GS-13 is experience providing guidance and consultative advice to managers and employees regarding performance management and recognition programs and awards for General Schedule and Senior Executive Service employees; AND researching, analyzing, and applying policies, regulations and standard procedures to perform work in a human resources program area such as performance management awards and recognition.
