This is a highly visibly and top priority program for a federal client.The Senior IT Project Manager will be experienced in managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, working with matrixed IT partners to oversee all SDLC phases or iterations. Manage assigned projects and activities from initiation to close-out. Support the management and planning of all project components including (but not limited to): scope management, development and management of work plans. Rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost and quality parameters, validating financial forecasts and providing on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures. Developing communication plans and effectively communicating in both verbal (eg day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written (status reports, change requests) form. Serving as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives. Ensuring that sound practices are taking place, replacing old processes with newer ones where feasible, and providing feedback for efficiencies. Developing the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan and related project management artifacts. Defining and tracking project milestones while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan. Accurately assessing, managing and reporting risks and issues. Publishing project status reports. Working with the Application Transition team to transition all development projects to the O&M team. Will be expected to lead, mentor, train, and possibly recruit qualified resources. Minimum 10+ years IT Project Management experience. Minimum of 4 years (preferably more) of experience working in a Federal Government IT environment. Prior experience managing multiple, cross-functional IT projects. Agile Scrum project methodology experience. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Successful stakeholder management experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail for Business Intelligence Analytics (BIA). Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced team environment. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Bachelor's Degree. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile or Scrum Certification. Desired requirements Project management experience with migration of applications or services to a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, or other). Familiarity with many enterprise and COTS products that support the Federal government. Experience working at the US Securities and Exchange Commission either as federal employee or a contractor. ITIL or other IT related certifications. Education Bachelor's Degree Certification(s) Project Management Professional (PMP) and / or Agile certification. ITIL or other IT related certifications (desired) Location Washington, DC - Near Union Station Security Clearance Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
