Position Summary Information Basic Function P-14 to assist Trades Tech with general plumbing installations, minor maintenance and repairs. P-14 will assist with repairs of some electrical and carpentry to include drywall work on campus buildings. To include snow removal and any other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Duties include assisting Trades Technician with minor installations, maintenance and repairs of plumbing fixtures, systems, equipment, and the fire extinguisher program on campus. Assist with Ordering of equipment, parts, and supplies. To include snow removal and any other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager. Minimum Qualifications High School Graduate or Equivalent Participated in a high school trades program Valid Virginia driver's license and good driving record. Preferred Qualifications Experience performing plumbing work. Knowledge of Fire Sprinklers Systems and Lawn irrigation systems Graduation from a High school trades program Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of principles and best practices of maintenance. Knowledge of aspects of heating and plumbing operations. Ability to function in close quarters, or cramped environment. Ability to read and work from blueprints, to diagnose and repair water and steam lines and boilers Ability to work in hot and cold weather for extended periods of time. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to perform manual labor and to lift 75 pounds when needed Ability to work at heights using ladders Basic computer skills including Microsoft office suite. Detail Oriented.
