The Account Manager supports project management by leading initiatives tied to his or her assigned customer accounts. This position will be involved in all aspects of project management involving planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating activities to ensure successful outcomes. The Account Manager uses discretion and independent judgement, within established policies and procedures, in selecting the methods utilized to achieve project goals. The Account Manager must be self-motivated with high energy and the ability to interact with numerous individuals, in multiple functions, in a dynamic and changing environment. Partner with project leadership to ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and budget. Collaborate with leadership to assign the labor resources, equipment, materials, and other requirements necessary for successful and efficient completion of the respective projects. Monitor the progress of project activities and regularly provide updates Create, recommend, and implement solutions to improve the performance and/or progress of the project. Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing. Successfully manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction; resolves areas of conflict. Review food service equipment plans, equipment cut sheets, custom fabrication drawings, mechanical and architectural plans for accuracy of information pertaining to items sold or installed by Singer EVI; assist in distribution of clarifications and corrections as necessary according to project protocol Prepare quotes for customers including new project proposals, renovation projects and a la carte quoting Review and place Purchase Orders for accuracy Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure orders are acknowledged, received, ship dates are acceptable, and deliveries are scheduled in a timely manner and within the requirements of the project Assemble documentation for project, including cut-books, GC/trade coordination letters, shelving diagrams, wall backing diagrams, plans and specifications for all equipment, etc. and distribute as required Obtain quotes necessary to provide complete cost estimates for new job bidding and change order work requested by customers Review quotes and manufacturer shop drawings for accuracy of proper equipment description and physical requirements; discuss with Account Manager and approve for manufacture where appropriate Manage documentation related to changes to the scope of work, including generation and tracking of change orders as required Provides close out project support, including creating delivery notes and instructions, confirming all equipment is on hand at the local warehouse and received in good condition, coordination of delivery of warranty and service lists, scheduling start-ups for equipment and scheduling training for end users Track job costs, including reviewing and coding of invoices, change orders, miscellaneous receipts, credit card charges, etc. Manage the process for documenting, reporting and collecting of claims related to freight damage. Assist in filing freight claims and tracking claims until payment is received Prepare final invoices for project, complete a freight analysis per job Obtain field measurements as it relates to releasing equipment such as hoods, walk-ins, fabrication and shelving; coordinate with site general contractors and site owners (may include site visit for local projects) Bachelor's degree in business, construction, or related field is preferred. 3-5 years related experience, preferably in the food service equipment or construction industries. Ability to utilize computer-based programs necessary to complete assigned tasks, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, database and Auto Quotes. QuickBooks knowledge helpful Good business acumen Effective interpersonal skills to successfully work with others in the organization Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail; highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized Exceptional work ethic with a focus on achieving goals and targets in a timely and complete manner Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skill, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner Highly driven and self-motivated; ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong relationship building skills with customers, general contractors, architects, manufacturers and vendors, and other trades on job sites Ability to read and understand manufactures cut sheets, drawings and construction drawings and communicate layout and design requirements to others is a plus. Basic knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing is preferred.
