The Cyber Software Vulnerability Scientist will work closely with other cyber and scientific team experts. This is mission-critical work solving real-world problems. RESPONSIBILITIES *Perform computer network exploitation: embedded and software reverse engineering (RE), vulnerability research (VR), and application development for software and embedded systems *Analyze assembly-level code *Develop Software to run in user/kernel-mode *Create and analyze network protocols through all layers of network stack. *Scripting language such as; Python, Perl, or Ruby *Strong knowledge of PC and embedded systems architecture *Develop software tools to support RE and VR *Support digital forensics activities *Provide RE and VR on embedded system firmware and software *Develop specialized software/firmware modules to run on embedded hardware *Develop software/firmware modules to implement specialized functions on software systems Qualifications Required (Skills) *B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent *5 years of related work experience. *Familiarity with microprocessors and a variety of assembly languages *Ability to code in C/C++/C#/Assembly *Real-time operating system experience on Linux, Windows, iOS, or MacOS *Exceptional communication skills *Active Secret security clearance for which you must be a US Citizen. If you do not meet this requirement you will not be considered. Qualifications Desired *Kernel level development/driver development for Real-time Operating systems *Experience with mobile wireless system vulnerability research *Experience using Hex Ray's IDA reverse engineering tool *Develop plugin modules for Hex Ray's IDA RE software *Experience debugging embedded systems and using embedded debugging tools *Active Top Secret security clearance Division Description The National Security Solutions (NSS) Division provides security solutions for the United States government.
