**If interested in applying, please send your updated resume to Alex Prisinzano at [Click Here to Email Your Resume] ** The Systems Engineer position is an advanced technical position responsible for the proper and efficient programming, debugging, integration, implementation, configuration and maintenance of software systems and will be responsible for creating, implementing and administering hardware and networking solutions for existing and new platforms based on user needs and expectations. This can include systems enhancement as well as incremental design/functional element configuration, interfaces, coordination, and prototyping and the development of hardware, software, and communications, and for integration, acceptance testing of modules, subsystems and total systems. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure Apply software, hardware and standards information technology skills in the analysis, specification development, integration, and acquisition of systems for information management applications Ensures that these systems and applications are compliant with standards for open systems architectures, reference models, and profiles of standards, such as the IEEE Open Systems Environment reference model, as they apply to the implementation and specification of information management solutions on the application platform across the application program interface, and the external environment/software application Evaluate and recommend COTS applications and methodologies that can be acquired to provide inter-operable, portable, and scalable information technology solutions Perform analysis and validation of reusable software/hardware components to ensure the integration of these components into inter-operable information management designs Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems. Under minimal direction, provide specialized expertise within multiple systems, software/hardware disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas Knowledge of software engineering and development, software testing, software documentation, contracting monitoring, and contract acquisition is desirable Qualifications 3+ years proven working experience in software installation, maintenance, integration, and configuration for enterprise systems 3+ years proven working experience in the software development lifecycle Must have an understanding of secure systems engineering and development, including system security requirements analysis, system/security requirements allocation, trade-off analysis, system security analysis, and secure system definition and specification development Experience with virtualization and containerization, preferably utilizing the VMware stack of tools (eg vSphere, vRO, vRA, CodeStream, NSX) Experience with monitoring systems (eg ELK, Nagios) Experience with automation software (eg, Jenkins, Ansible) Solid scripting skills (eg, shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python) Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) A passion for problem solving and data-driven decision making Ability to direct customer expectations and drive projects forward to completion Ability to multi-task and engage on multiple projects simultaneously Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage to deadlines Excellent communication and intra-personal skills to help explain complex systems using simple terms Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, or other related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
