RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in search of a PS - Oracle/SQL Server Database Administrator in Arlington, Virginia (VA). Summary: You will be working with our corporate and government customers to help them manage their database infrastructures. The candidate will be administering Windows server assets in a development lab. You will also oversee other data analytics team members to make sure we deliver consistently outstanding service. Our customers need database environments that align with their organizational needs. Come help us help them keep work flowing. Duties Include: Designing and delivering database solutions for corporate and government clients Evaluating systems, anticipating gaps, and making recommendations to ensure database availability Implementing world class database processes and systems Managing large projects from planning to execution Managing a team of consultants to successfully deliver promised outcomes Enhancing and Improving Individual and Team Capabilities Demonstrating value and creating a superior customer experience REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience Six or more years of relevant work experience Demonstrated capability in delivering robust Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database solutions: Installing, configuring, upgrading, monitoring, capacity planning, supporting, and automating Oracle databases in RAC environment with a high volume of transactions per day in IBM-AIX, HP-UX, Windows and Sun Solaris platforms while ensuring that databases are SOX, PCI, and PCNI compliant Installing, configuring, upgrading, monitoring, capacity planning, supporting, and automating Microsoft SQL Server databases in HA clustered environment with a high volume of transactions per day while ensuring that databases are SOX, PCI, and PCNI compliant Designing, deploying, administering, and supporting RAC, AlwaysOn, Backup, and Recovery using RMAN, SRDF, Clone, Snaps, RPO vs RTO, and BCVs, Data Guard database and OS tools and leverage for DC migration, Golden Gate for Active-Active setup and Big Data replication, and OEM and its reporting to ensure ongoing availability of mission critical applications Conducting bulk data migration using database utilities including exp/imp, expdp/impdp, bcp, SQL loader, transportable table space, and OS based tools including SRDF to minimize outage for data migration while ensuring data security by applying advance TDE, masking, and redaction features Conducting performance tuning on databases larger than 30TB to deliver sub-second response time while applying OS tuning, SQL profiles, and baseline You enjoy listening to customers, analyzing their challenges, and developing great solutions Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
