Basic Function: Provide customer support by servicing the needs of existing and prospective customers, ensuring smooth delivery of superior customer service. Responsibilities: Assists with the administration of credit and non-credit products and services through the resolution of operational problems. May perform any or all of the following duties. Act in a liaison capacity between the customer and the business banker or relationship manager, responding to questions and resolving problems. Interact on a daily basis with all operational areas of the bank in order to review, research and correct operational and accounting customer problems. Open new accounts, process wire transfers and prepare daily lending and payment documentation on business banking loans. Handle and process all account maintenance. Review and approve overdrafts up to established limit. Research and resolve overdraft with customer. Process loan documentation on newly approved and closed loans. Disburse proceeds according to instructions. Review various reports for variances. Tabulate information and prepare reports tracking deposit, loan, fee, and referral volumes with department. Cross sell and refer potential sales to appropriate business banker or relationship manager. May accompany relationship manager on loan closings. Keep abreast of product lines, internal policies and procedures, and external regulations that may impact assigned area. Perform other duties and assignments as requested by management. The incumbent is responsible for performing all followup and backup work required to support relationship managers with day to day customer service. This allows relationship managers to focus on generating sales and not the administrative responsibilities. The incumbent must possess the ability to initiate independent action, using skill and judgement in identifying and resolving problems and anticipating customer needs. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree or the equivalent in work experience. Minimum three years customer service experience. Minimum two years business banking or commercial lending experience. Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and banking regulations are required. Knowledge of courthouse and state filings. Knowledge of financial statements and loan documentation. Ability to work as a team member.Excellent customer service skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy.
