A Magnet designated Academic facility located inside the Metro DC beltway is currently seeking multiple Night Postpartum RN's to join their very busy Women and Children's Services department. For over the last 50 years, this Nationally recognized hospital has been providing high-tech clinical care to the surrounding communities in the Metro DC region. Being part of a rather large Healthcare Network has allowed this accredited hospital to grow from less than 100 beds to well over 350 licensed beds in an over 450,000 square-foot facility. The Night Postpartum RN will join a contemporary postpartum unit that is home to over 40 licensed beds for expecting mothers. This busy maternity department is responsible for over 4,000 births per year and has consistently ranked within the Top 10 Hospitals in neonatology since 2008. The Night Postpartum RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for mother-baby couples and high-risk antepartum patients. The Night Postpartum RN will also educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs, caring for the infant while providing necessary new-born care education to new mothers, administer medications and intravenous fluids as needed, initiate the highest degree of standards in mother baby nursing programs, and adhere to and comply with all organizational and nursing practice laws and regulations. Located directly across from our Nation's capital, the Night Postpartum RN will be immersed in some of our Countries most celebrated monuments and memorials.
