Positions Available: 2 Middle School Special Education Teachers (Laurel, MD) 2 Elementary Special Education Teacher (Largo & Gaithersburg, MD) 1 Middle School Special Education Teacher (Largo & Gaithersburg, MD) 1 High School Special Education Teacher (Largo, MD) 1 Early Childhood Teacher (Aberdeen, MD) Basic Job Requirements: Employ special education strategies and techniques to provide quality instruction that results in the students advancement of their academic progress Utilizing approved curriculum that promotes social and emotional growth Communicate in a professional manner with parents/guardians about students academic and behavior progress create and implement lesson plans that utilize a variety of teaching methods Demonstrated the ability to adapt classroom environment, activities, teaching styles and behavior management techniques Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings Direct and lead other program assistants and dedicated aides assigned to their classroom Demonstrate appropriate use of verbal de-escalation skills to manage students behaviors Coordinate with counselors in implementing and monitoring social emotional classroom goals Bachelors Degree or higher in education, special education or related field Certification in Special Education PandoLogic.
