Transformational Computing Software Engineer/Principal Transformational Computing Software Engineer Requisition ID : 19031256 Location : United States-Maryland-Baltimore US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance may be available Clearance Type: SCI Shift : 1st Shift Travel : Yes, 10 % of the Time Description Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking Software Engineers with the desire to learn new technologies to join our innovative Transformational Computing team and help develop software in support of emerging supercomputing technologies. The software these engineers will be developing supports next-generation supercomputing capabilities and includes simulations, algorithms, test automation, and data management and analysis capabilities. Candidates will work on software in all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, development and test. Candidates will work on software systems primarily in C/C++, Python, and TCL. All job functions require close teamwork across functional disciplines and integrated product teams in a fast paced environment. This program area is expanding which offers the potential for future growth opportunities (technical lead, software architect, etc.) for candidates who successfully demonstrate exceptional performance and leadership. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This position is located in Linthicum, MD. Qualifications This requisition may be filled at either a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer Level: Basic Qualifications for a Software Engineer: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other STEM degree * At least 2 years of experience in the software development industry (0 years with a MS degree; 0 years with PhD) * Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Implementation and Integration & Test) * Experience with C/C++ * Candidates must be US Citizens and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance. Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Engineer: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other STEM degree * At least 5 years of experience in the software development industry (3 years with a MS degree; 0 years with PhD) * Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Implementation and Integration & Test) * Experience with C/C++ * Candidates must be US Citizens and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance.
