Decision Support Sr. Financial Analyst
We're seeking a Decision Support Sr. Financial Analyst for a FTE opportunity located in Baltimore, MD. This position will serve as the main contact between the end users utilizing decision support toolsets and the organization's Finance Decision Support Department. Responsibilities will include assisting with the roll-out, data collection, maintenance, and validation of the organization's decision support based solutions for the assigned affiliate. The qualified candidate will assist in the collection and maintenance of decision support based budgeting, financial, costing, and patient level data structures; assist with meaningful analyses utilizing this data; and support the education and training of decision support end users. The qualified candidate will also be required to have an ability to independently perform analytical tasks; lead projects; independently learn new solutions, functionality, and technology; have a thorough understanding of financial based reporting and decision support based functionality capabilities. Competencies: Education: Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or Health Administration. Knowledge: Ability to work with and interview organizational personnel in obtaining necessary data structures required by decision support. Ability to support the roll-out of Decision Support solutions. Understanding of financial, budgeting, and cost accounting concepts. Familiarity with the use of databases, systems, and PC-based software applications needed to manipulate and analyze data. Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Skills: Data reconciliation and analytical skills required. Interpersonal skills to participate in a dynamic team based development environment. Initiative to independently identify questions, problems, and opportunities. Ability to work independently with general supervision. Required Licensure Certification, etc. None Work Experience: Five years or more of healthcare or finance experience Machines, Tools, Equipment: Must be able to operate general office equipment and communications equipment, especially personal computers.
