Working closely with management, this position contributes to the production of quality financial statements and tax returns for businesses and individuals. This position is open to full-time and part-time candidates. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct assurance engagements to include audits, reviews and compilations Conduct tax engagements to include corporate, partnership, and individual issues Conduct tax research, planning, compliance, consulting and business transaction structuring services Execute work procedures over various financial statement areas including cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, expense analysis, trial balance and financial statement preparation Demonstrate good workpaper techniques and understand objectives of workpapers Identify and communicate accounting and tax matters to the engagement team Communicate with clients via email and by phone to obtain required materials Represent the Firm in a favorable and professional manner with clients, at events, and within the professional community As a Senior Accountant, you will join a firm known for its commitment to high quality client services. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA a plus Five years of accounting experience required with a MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM Experience in one or more areas of financial statement preparation and income tax preparation Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Software Demonstrated leadership ability and an interest in contributing to the professional community Ability to effectively present information and respond to client questions Ability to maintain confidentiality of Firm and client information Sharp analytical skills enhanced by a commitment to professional development Desire to work closely with Partners and clients to provide exceptional service Experience with construction and government contracts a plus WoodcockPC (Woodcock & Associates, PC) provides a comprehensive menu of assurance, tax, and consulting services to varied industries and individuals.
