Gravy, a DC based tech industry startup, is actively seeking a Staffing and Operations Manager. YouA cents € (TM) ll be integral to the core of our operations ensuring our Pros are recruited, trained, and have the right tools and insights to operate as effectively and efficiently on the Gravy App.Gravy connects businesses and households with the on-demand workforce through our mobile platform. Our customers use Gravy because of its ability to easily fill and manage short and long- term job assignments with pre-vetted, skills-assessed workers.Definition of Work:The Director of Operations supervises temporary staffing activities, implements operational directives, responsible for branch operational efficiency and facilitates workforce training and development in coordination with team leaders.Reporting Relationships:A cents € cents The Director of Operations reports to the CEO.A cents € cents The Director of Operations provides supervision of the Recruiters and Activation Specialists.A cents € cents The Director of Operations provides supervision of the temporary healthcare professionals (THPs).Job Responsibilities and Tasks:A cents € cents Oversees recruiter activities in the following areas:A cents € cents Facilitates orienting new Pros to the process of acquiring jobs on the Gravy Platform.A cents € cents Facilitates and monitors the number of new hires, newly activated Pros and Pro referrals contacted weekly.A cents € cents Verifies quality and completeness staffing orders on the platform.A cents € cents Builds relationships with existing clients to properly address staffing needs based on current and past usage.A cents € cents Monitors number of orders, number of clients providing orders, filled orders, number of active and assigned Pros, number of filled and unfilled orders and number of Pros rebooked weekly.A cents € cents Assists with scheduling Pros on assignments.A cents € cents Reviews metrics and reports to maximize shifts booked and eliminate scheduling errors.A cents € cents Establishes and maintains good working rapport with clients and employees.A cents € cents Resolves client and employee issues.A cents € cents Confirms assignments with employees and clients. Notifies clients and employees of shift cancellations.A cents € cents Makes alternate staffing assignments to meet client and employee needs and using the Gravy platform.A cents € cents Communicates company-related information to current and prospective clients and employees.A cents € cents Supervises the progressive discipline process with Pros.A cents € cents Acts as the liaison between the market recruiters and the Business Development department.A cents € cents Screens potential applicants and determines if they meet minimum employment qualifications, including eligibility.A cents € cents Facilitates the orientation process within the Gravy App. Reviews employment policies and procedures, administers tests, shows videos, and completes personnel records.A cents € cents Checks employee references and verifies license(s) and other credentials. Processes criminal background check(s), drug test, and any other pre-employment background investigations.A cents € cents Communicates with corporate support departments (human resources, payroll/billing, NOC, etc.) to resolve branch issues.A cents € cents Implements processes to better organize the office.A cents € cents Facilitates the Payroll Department in resolving payroll and billing problems.A cents € cents Leads Morning 9:19 meetings.A cents € cents Oversees/manages and assists Recruiters and Activation Specialists.A cents € cents Conducts weekly meetings with office staff/recruiters to review metrics.A cents € cents Runs and analyzes daily transaction reports.A cents € cents Escalates problems and special concerns as needed.A cents € cents In coordination with sales staff, implements branch operations and special projects.A cents € cents Assists sales staff as needed and helps improve branch profitability.A cents € cents Special Projects.A cents € cents All other duties as assigned.A cents € cents Provides and/or facilitates training and orientation of all Pros.A cents € cents Participates as a mentor in branch and corporate-level training programs.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:A cents € cents Excellent organizational skills.A cents € cents Experience with building a team and supervising employees.A cents € cents Superior knowledge of and experience in customer service and human relations skills.A cents € cents Must be able to adapt to changing situations.A cents € cents Must be excellent problem-solver.A cents € cents Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A cents € cents Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.A cents € cents Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under stressful conditions.A cents € cents Knowledge of Hospitality and Food and Beverage Industsry.A cents € cents Knowledge of basic computer operation and peripheral use.A cents € cents Ability to maintain consistent and regular attendance.Equipment Used:Multi-line telephone, personal computer (PC) printer, scanner, fax machine, and other office equipment.Job type: Full-time
