(VPPPA) - The Premier Global Safety and Health OrganizationA cents " cents , is the leading organization dedicated to cooperative occupational safety, health and environmental management systems.A' The VPPPA, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is a member-based association providing a network of more than 2,300 companies and worksites who have achieved or are striving to achieve occupational safety and health excellence via the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) or the Department of Energy's (DOE) Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP).POSITION OVERVIEW:We are looking for a dynamic, mission-driven leader who is passionate about working with key stakeholders (Government Agencies, Labor Unions, Employers and Employees) to foster continued growth in VPP.A' The Executive Director will provide visionary leadership for a staff of 9 who are providing impactful, essential services to the VPPPA membership and the nations Voluntary Protection Program sites.A' We seek a skilled executive leader experienced and well-poised to lead program development and one that is highly adept in finance, budget management, and coalition & partnership building.The ideal candidate for this role embraces servant-leadership as well as an intelligent approach to day-to-day operational management, strategic planning and visionary, creative leadership.A' As a meticulous planner and highly competent personnel manager, the incumbent is someone skilled in building effective, practical consensus and creating dynamic solutions in order to advance the work of the organization and serve the VPP community.A' POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:To the VPPPA Board of Directors (BOD): Works with VPPPA BOD to fulfill the VPPPA mission.Financial Performance and Viability: Along with the BOD treasurer, develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.Organization Mission and Strategy:A' Works with the BOD and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.VPPPA Office Operations and Personnel Responsibilities: Oversees and implements resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate.VPPPA Spokesperson responsibilities: Serves as a VPPPA spokesperson to the organizationA cents € (TM) s constituents, the media and the public as directed by the BOD.Government Relations: Works with various government agencies on all related initiatives associated with OSHAA cents € (TM) s VPP and cooperative programs.A' A' A' QUALIFICATIONS:A cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' At least 15 years of Sr. HSE Leadership knowledge and experience; Senior nonprofit organization management experience preferredA cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reportingA cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitationA cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Ability to convey VPPPAA cents € (TM) s strategic vision to key stakeholders, staff, board, regions and affiliates.A cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Knowledge and implementation of various marketing strategiesA cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and motivate board members, staff, and other key stakeholdersA cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Strong written/oral communication and public speaking skillsA cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Ability to interface, influence and engage diverse workgroups and lead them to successA cents € cents A' A' A' A' A' A' Working knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration organization and structure.A' Minimum travel expectations are 25% to fulfill Executive Director responsibilities.ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSA bachelorA cents € (TM) s degree or higher preferredPrevious government employment a plus.Has general understanding of OSHA rule making and budgeting policies and practices.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:This full-time opportunity comes with a competitive salary (depending on experience) as well as exceptional benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, employee assistance program, paid time off, sick time, holidays, and a 401k plan.A' A' To apply please send cover letter and resume to ExecutiveDirector@.
