General Overview:Our Hospice team has an immediate full-time opening for a Weekend Nursing Supervisor.A' For nearly 30 years, our hospice has offered a wide range of quality medical and support services, from symptom and pain management to emotional and spiritual guidance for patients and their families.A' We are the hospice in the community to turn to for exceptional end-of-life care that supports dignity and comfort for individuals, provides peace of mind to families, and honors cultural traditions and customs.A' The Weekend Nursing Supervisor is an active, formal mentor and first line resource to the weekend nursing team, providing teaching, support and guidance. S/he will perform initial assessment of patientA cents € (TM) s needs, serves as a clinical resource for referral sources and patients/family members, facilitates end of life conversations and decision-making with the family or caregiver.A' This position is responsible for triaging incoming calls, identifying and coordinating patent/family needs and for guiding staff to provide preventive and supportive care to terminally ill and patient/family units.A' A' Additionally s/he represents our organization when communicating with patients, families, physicians and the community.A' Position Qualifications:Qualified candidates will possess an active State of Maryland RN license, CHPN certification preferred, and a minimum of 2 years of acute care, 2 years Hospice or home health required and supervisory experience required.A' A' Successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide meaningful care to communicate with the terminally ill.A' Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and customer service skills; attention to detail; strong organization skills, managing multiple and competing priorities and proficient computer skills.A' Familiarity with electronic medical records a plus.
