JOB SUMMARY The Manager of Membership Development is responsible for planning, writing, designing and executing integrated strategies to grow membership. Goals include, but are not limited to, recruitment and launching new membership initiatives to drive growth, with a strong focus on sales. A' This is a full-time, exempt opportunity reporting directly to the Senior Director of Membership Operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Subject to approval by the Senior Director Membership Operations, set annually written goals for this function which include the establishment and review of appropriate metrics through which to assess progress toward achievement of the stated goals. Membership Acquisition: Develop and execute strategies for lead generation. Develop and execute inside sales campaigns. Develop and manage digital outreach, including retargeting, sponsored advertising (Facebook. LinkedIn, Instagram), dedicated landing pages, and Develop and execute strategies for reengagement of lapsed members. Understand and leverage market segments Lead membership growth through management of key projects Data-driven decision-making: Utilize existing system for tracking all campaigns. Use data-backed analysis to respond to trends and maximize marketing return. Report on monthly activity. Maintain data on the in-house counsel market for key areas. Work with IT and the Membership team to implement a process for ensuring database is current and records contain key demographic information. Marketing: Assist with lead generation and prospect campaigns. EDUCATION Associate degree in marketing, communication, business administration or other related concentration required. Bachelor degree preferred. WORK EXPERIENCE A minimum of five-seven yearsA cents € (TM) experience, within a marketing capacity, ideally in a professional association environment. Acquisition/Sales marketing experience is a plus. COMPETENCIES (KSAS) Proven success in writing copy for membership acquisition as well as executing and managing traditional and digital campaigns. Proven record of increasing membership. Experience using analytics to interpret outcomes, identify campaign opportunities, and drive membership-marketing decisions. Database experience, ideally NetForum. Excellent writing and oral communication skills. Proven project management skills with ability to execute and deliver on multiple projects. Google Analytics and Lead Generation software experience is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of association management systems (AMS/CMS) helpful. Enthusiastic, creative, self-starter who can multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen with ability to think both strategically and tactically. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with diverse constituencies and personalities, including members, chapter offices, staff and contacts at external organizations. LANGUAGES: ACC seeks to hire multi-lingual candidates with fluency in English and a second language is required. TRAVEL: Possible travel once or twice a year.
