Summary

About the Position: ATC's mission is to provide test and test support services for authorized customers within and outside of DoD, including Government and non-Government organizations, domestic, and foreign, perform comprehensive test and training, both real and simulated, exploit emerging technologies, and develop leading-edge instrumentation and test methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on safety programs to achieve overall accident prevention goals.
  • Implement comprehensive industrial safety practices and techniques.
  • Lead teams in Safety and Occupational Health program inspections to gather data for analysis.
  • Review and analyze changing regulations to determine impact on organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during meetings to inform management on safety issues, policies, trends, or standards.
  • Conduct analysis of accidents and claims to determine future preventative measures.
  • Perform on-site safety visits.

  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance throughout employment
  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of the time.
  • This position requires participation in ATC?s Medical Surveillance program.
  • This is a Career Program (CP) 12 position. Incumbent must possess CP-12 Level I Certification or be able to obtain certification within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical and an annual physical thereafter.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02/GS-11). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Providing safety program guidance to achieve accident prevention goals, 2) Performing inspections of conventional work operations and activities where equipment, working conditions, and materials are potentially hazardous and 3) Conducting analysis of accidents.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

Education
