We at WhyHotel are carving out our own industry-changing company starting by making pop up hotels a thing. We are bringing flexibility to the most inflexible asset ever, high-rise real estate. Today, our hotels operate out of newly constructed apartment buildings (explainer video here); however, this is just the start. We are using our current platform as the springboard to further blur the line between hospitality, home, and work. Our goal is to build the engine that makes real estate better, smarter, and more flexible for consumers, developers, investors, and cities alike. With 3 hotels and growing, WhyHotel has secured around $15M in venture-financing in less than 18 months and is poised to scale. We have a staff of 50 today, we are now seeking a 200+ A team players to join us in 2019. If you're interested in joining a fun, fast-paced, high-growth start-up, read on. Your Mission To find and drive bookings (group or corporate rates) from local furnished housing and/or corporate customers at our metro DC WhyHotels while leading a team of two Senior Sales Manager and a Business Sales Strategist. To build a book of business of repeat corporate customers across your portfolio which currently includes one property in DC, one in Baltimore, and three in Northern Virginia coming on the market in 2019. Your Legacy To change corporate travelers perception of an alternative stay, by making WhyHotel (and the products it offers) the go-to, gold-standard accommodation of choice. To build an industry-leading corporate-traveler platform and book of business. Your Charge (WHAT You'll Be Doing) 1) By 4 weeks: - Develop strong rapport with your two Senior Sales Managers and business sales strategist and begin to build an awesome culture for WhyHotel's hospitality sales team. - Create a strategic plan to drive corporate business to our DC area hotels that is approved by our President and begin to execute it. - Review and evaluate existing approach for sales from the transient, corporate, and furnished housing markets. - Create KPIs to measure performance 2) By 4 months: - Drive $45,000 per month in new bookings and continue to adapt and refine strategic approach based on real time feedback - Manage and mentor your direct reports to ensure your sales team is an efficient and high performing team 3) By 6 months: Drive $75,000 per month in new bookings 4) By 9 months and ongoing: Drive $150,000 per month in new bookings Ensure 90% of the business is repeat business How You'll Go About It - You hear and see yourself in more of our core values than not. And you're really excited to live by them. - You have 5-10 years of experience selling hospitality offerings with at least some years in a furnished housing or private/corporate setting. Please read this before you apply. - Start Date: April-May 2019 - Salary + Perks: Salary commensurate with experience - please be sure to tell us your salary expectations in our application. We match up to 100% of every dollar you contribute to our 401(k) up to 4%, you'll get equity shares in the company, we provide medical and dental insurance and we'll reimburse you $75/monthly for your cell phone. - Team Beats Individual. We are in the process of hiring a new Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Operations and initially you will report to one of them. Once we expand, you will report to our DC Head of Sales.
