Reporting to Airship's Vice President of Sales, the ideal Field Sales Engineer will be a motivated, disciplined, self-starter who is knowledgeable and passionate about physical security solutions focused on solving some of the most challenging techincal issues facing the homeland today. A strong technical background in designing and deploying networking, video, and audio as it relates to physical security solutions is required. Hiring preference will be given to candidates that have related law enforcement and or military experience / background. No clearance is currently required for this position but the ability to be cleared is mandatory. Duties and Responsibilities: * Work as part of the Airship customer facing team supporting current and future customers in the larger Washington, DC / Northern VA region. * Work in a fast-pace environment with minimal supervision, as a singleton and as part of a team of like-minded dynamic sales and engineering professionals. * Listen to and identify customer problems, communicate those solutions directly with the engineering and development team, and work together to create an actionable solution. * Engage with customers across the entire sales spectrum, from pre to post-sales, ensuring an unparalleled customer experience from the planning to deployment phase. * Provide remote and on-site software and network troubleshooting support in complex customer operational environments. * Travel as needed to remote customer office and operational locations to support the installation, setup, configuration, and operationalization of Airship solutions. * Capture and channel feature requests to Airship's Product Management team to enhance products. * Act with professionalism, integrity, and honesty at all times while representing Airship and all of our core values to our customers. Territory: * The Regional Sales Manager shall have the responsibility to cover the following geographic territory: Washington, DC / Northern VA. Other: * While frequent travel may be required for the execution of the duties of the position, the candidate must be based in the larger Northern VA region.
