The selected candidate will support ONE-Net; the premier US Navy Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) network that provides enterprise level support at multiple locations across the globe. From F1 races at the Bahrain International Circuit and pearl diving in the Persian Gulf to chili cook offs and softball games Bahrain has a lot to offer the adventurous applicant.For additional information on the sights and sounds of Bahrain visit:://www.mia.gov.bh/en/Kingdom-of-Bahrain/Pages/Cultural-and-Touristic-Location.aspxhttps://www.mofa.gov.bh/Default.aspx?tabid=134https://www.cnic.navy.mil/regions/cnreurafswa/installations/nsa_bahrain.html%20Bahrain.aspxAbility to provide 8x5 On Site AND 24x7 On Call Support.Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.Develops reports concerning network operations and maintenance.Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.Manages and/or performs oversight over testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems.Manages, maintains, and operates Network Access Control (NAC) system.Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems, providing routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals).Performs network related duties and functions at the direction of the ONE-NET Operations manager and/or Site Supervisor.Performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications.Provides input regarding quality assurance (QA) reviews and the evaluation of new and existing software products.Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.Troubleshoots network performance issues.RequirementsExperience living and working in an OCONUS location.Experience managing, monitoring and maintaining local\\wide area networks and systems in a 24x7 environment.Experience supporting US DoD or US Navy customers and organizations.Experience working with geographically dispersed customers and organizations.Experience working with network software and hardware, data, voice or video.Flexibility in adapting to and functioning in demanding and fluid environments or situations.Good analytical and problem solving skills.Interpersonal and communications skills to interact with customers and team members.Skilled in time, priority and task management.Required CertificationsDoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Baseline CertificationCisco CCNA OR higher CertificationITILv3 Foundations CertificationThis position provides exceptional growth opportunities, and competitive salary.Relocation not provided.
