Arkin & Company, Chartered (ACC) is looking for senior accountant/manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in public accounting. We are looking for talented individuals that can work in all areas of accounting including attestation, taxation, and engagement management. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Tax consulting and preparation Work directly with clients in the preparation and/or review stage of tax returns including: Forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041 and 990 Multi-state filings including exposure to roughly 25 state tax laws Prepare quarterly estimates and extension payments Meet clients, communicate with them and compile the information necessary to prepare complete and accurate returns Tax Compliance and Research Respond to notices from the IRS and other taxing authorities Represent clients in front of the IRS and other taxing authorities Research tax issue faced by our every changing clients' needs Research and analyze current tax issues for the practice and broad client concerns General Accounting, Compilations, Reviews and Audits General ledger maintenance and clean up Preparation of financial statements Accrual to cash conversions and vice versa Analytical and substantive testing Non-profit accounting including revenue recognition, functional expense and joint cost allocations and fair value measures Required Skills and Certifications 5 years of experience working in public accounting CPA required AICPA membership State professional memberships Experience working with a tax software packages recognized in the industry As a member of our staff, you will work with other professionals where you will become a part of our team in serving and solving the needs of our clients.
