What Medely is looking for in a GI Tech: Minimum 1 year of relevant, recent experience (not including clinicals). GI Tech or Endoscopy Tech prior work experience required. Current BLS necessary. Desirable (not required) Certifications: SGNA Associates Program Certificate, Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor, GI Technical Specialist (GTS) Certification Proficiency in the following; * Prepares the endoscopy unit adequately and ensures availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies. Cleans GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepares rooms for next case. * Demonstrates knowledge of high disinfection reprocessing of scopes and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
