University of Maryland Global Campus is seeking a National Accounts, Public Safety Senior Director, reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Position Accountabilities:
  • Engage in curriculum and program development; recruit, manage, develop, and support program faculty for criminal justice and leadership programs
  • Plan and develop innovative initiatives and activities to increase leads, applications, and enrollments
  • Interface with high level executives within prospect and key partner accounts
  • Liaise with key stakeholders within UMGC and CLS
  • Monitor industry and market trends that intersect with UMGC program offerings

  • Bachelor's degree in public safety administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
  • At least 7 years Public Safety experience is required with preference for command or management experience
  • Proven results in business and relationship management.
  • Strong activity level and business acumen, adaptability, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use technology to support marketing and client servicing activities
  • Proven ability and desire to work within a highly motivated and multi-skilled team
  • Ability to travel to client locations
  • Ability to work successfully in a teleworking position
  • Develop and implement a national strategic business plan that results in adequate leads to support growth targets and pipeline with sufficient distribution of opportunities across all stages
  • Obtain commitments from qualified prospects to partner with UMGC as a preferred provider and/or strategic partner
  • Design a multi-faceted national marketing strategy that differentiates UMGC in the marketplace from other universities serving working public safety professionals
  • Proven experience talking with large groups and one-on-one to promote brand awareness through thought leadership

  • Strong Internet research skills, ability to quickly and accurately find, absorb and analyze market information and recognize patterns and trends
  • Experience with managing communications and promotions, including developing appropriate targeting, offers, and messages; executing and such campaigns; and tracking response rates and conversions
  • Master's degree in public safety administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
  • Graduate of a public service academy
