Freddie Mac's Investments and Capital Markets Division is seeking a Capital Markets Professional to join the Loan Portfolio Managing and Structuring (LPMS) group. The team is responsible for the management of Freddie Mac's Non-Performing Loan (NPL) and Re-Performing Loan (RPL) positions in the company's retained portfolio which includes Seasoned Credit Risk Transfer (SCRT), Seasoned Loan Structured Transactions (SLST) and NPL sale programs. The candidate will support executing transactions within these programs as a member of LPMS's Business Operations & Loan Transactions (BOLT) team.

Your Work Falls into These Two Primary Categories:

BOLT - SCRT, SLST and NPL Transactions:

  • Works across all LPMS transactions (SCRT, SLST, NPL)
  • Goal is to provide consistent experience to internal and external deal partners across all LPMS transactions
  • Not overall lead for deals, but own certain key aspects across all deals including -
    • NPL & SLST Subordinate Auction Bidder Qualification, Data Room, and Auction Process
    • Ratings
    • Press Release
    • Trade Comment Support
    • Engagements
    • Flow of Funds
    • Settlements
    • Timeline & Responsibility Management
  • May support LPMS's Analytics Team, including on the 1010data platform, Tableau, data tape review, monthly remittance review, and LIA PC securitizations

BOLT - Business Operations:
  • Responsible for most non-transaction LPMS activity, including -
  • New Initiatives & products
  • Operational risk management
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external parties (eg, US Bank, Wilmington Trust, Meridian, etc.)
  • Lattice maintenance
  • Conference coordination
  • Portfolio management support
  • Primary liaison to the rest of Freddie Mac outside of the core transaction team


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Typically has 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Statistics or related quantitative field
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Solid communication and people skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced trading desk environment and ability to deal with some degree of ambiguity
