Responsibilities

As a Management Analyst, you will:
  • Prepare oral and written reports and presentations; prepare graphs and charts that present clearly, concisely and effectively, analytical results of evaluations and studies performed; provide staff support for formal presentations.
  • Evaluate opportunities for improvements in management systems; present advice and recommendations for review and implementation.
  • Perform on-going evaluations of various components of administrative matters within Ginnie Mae, resulting in improvement recommendations for operating efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Make significant recommendations for improved work methods, organizational structures, records and files, management processes, staffing patterns, procedures for administering administrative services, guidelines and procedures, and automating work processes for the conduct of Ginnie Mae's administrative support functions.
  • Develop, maintain, and update process and procedure manuals on activities, ensuring that all Ginnie Mae staff are trained to comply with governing rules and regulations.

This position is located in the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae), Office of Management Operations, Administrative Management Division. The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate, advise on, and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Ginnie Mae's management.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
  • Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to program or operation; AND
  • Proposing new or modified program policies, regulations, goals or objectives for use in the management and direction of programs; AND
  • Serving as a liaison between offices in coordinating information, rules, directives, and reports for review.
