Position Summary and Responsibilities Teledyne is looking for an entry level Engineering Technician to support limited quantity prototype assembly and production activities. The desired candidate will have demonstrated skills in assembly of small piece parts in process fixtures, set up of equipment for process runs and operation of laboratory equipment. Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform skilled, repetitive tasks is a must. Work will include a variety of assignment across multiple product segments. Familiarity with Labview is a plus. Successful candidate will work with a team of engineers and technicians to produce reliable components and systems for use standard and custom products in the US and around the world. Work Description: Work with engineering team, and other highly skilled technicians on a range of projects. This can include all of the following: Prepare materials for processing from a mix of raw elements Assembly small parts into fixtures for process runs Perform intricate manipulation of higher level components and materials into subassemblies Set up process runs and monitor process variable Perform testing, record data and provide real time, independent observations Also expect a variety of assignment for custom product assembly Wiring harnesses with standard soldering and crimping practices Electrolysis modules Fluidic, electrical and pressure vessel equipment Qualifications Qualifications: Required: High School degree (or GED) and three plus years lab or engineering tech experience. Must demonstrate attention to detail and high quality work in a non-assembly line environment. Experience with standard laboratory equipment; scales, balances, acids, solvents, gases and fume hood use. Ability to read and carry out complex multi-step processes. Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently, occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs. Desired: Understanding of technical specifications and drawings. Metallography powder metal sintering and/or soldering skills a plus.
