Job Title: Site Safety Officer Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Site Safety Officer with a Secret Clearance for a Bid Proposal in Northern, Virginia This position is contingent upon contract award. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing and enforcing a comprehensive Safety and Environmental program for a large and complex facilities management program at a secure government facility in Northern Virginia. Ensure personnel comply with safety procedures, contractual requirements, and OSHA and other applicable safety standards when performing maintenance, repairs, and program tasks. Conduct safety and environmental awareness training, including New Hire, refresher, and weekly Toolbox training. Work closely with Program Manager and government counterparts to coordinate safety activities, including job hazard analysis. Perform safety and health inspections and mishap investigations on maintenance processes, repairs, and service calls. Develop and implement Safety Program Manual, to include identification of safety roles and responsibilities; accident prevention plan; communication, notification, and accident reporting protocols; training; inspection/audit schedules; and corrective actions. Develop and submit weekly and monthly reports detailing safety control activities, including procedure deficiencies, technical problems, or potential problems. Maintain hazardous chemicals list; Safety Data Sheets (SDS); and inventory of required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Make recommendations on safety improvements. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager for a large and complex facilities management program. Bachelor's degree (additional work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement). Secret clearance required. Must have completed OSHA 30 General Industry training. Familiarity with applicable Federal, state, and environmental regulations, including OSHA, Environmental Protection Agency, and Department of Environment Quality. Proven capability to interface with all levels of an organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
