Our client, located in Rockville, MD office has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Licensed Architect. The Sr. Architect hired will specialize in the planning, design, and construction of complex facilities and infrastructures. With a heavy concentration in healthcare facilities, laboratories, and high security installations, this person will play an integral role in helping or clients achieve their mission objectives. Our client works with governments to design, build and manage real property by combining facilities operations management, engineering, and architecture all under one roof. The Senior Architect will be expected to work independently to assist clients through the planning and creation of projects that are rooted in a deep understanding of their needs, is fiscally responsible, and represents design excellence. They will demonstrate strong familiarity of the design process from inception through close-out, including healthcare planning, code and regulatory requirements, contract documentation, estimates and building codes. They will lead the studio successfully through the design process, managing workflow and production activities, while ensuring client satisfaction with the process and product. They will assist in business development activities, nurturing existing client accounts and seeking to grow our client base through building new relationships and project pursuits. They will be expected to have a strong foundation of project management skills, but also an understanding that management of the design process requires hands on problem solving, a growth mindset, a willingness to be inclusive of all perspectives, and the ability to see challenges as opportunities, not problems.
