HCC is a Division I member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference. The College's intercollegiate athletics program is dedicated to the continued development of skill and sportsmanship in all students through a focus on academic and personal success of our student athletes. Many students continue their athletic careers as valued players on four-year college and university teams. The Head Coach recruits student athletes, organizes and conducts practices, attends meetings and events related to the athletics department and team achievement, and performs other duties as assigned by the Athletics Director. High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 60 or more college credit hours are required; bachelor's degree preferred. Applicants should have a minimum of two years combined of active game situation coaching at the high school, club/select, or collegiate level; multiple years of professional playing/coaching experience will be accepted.
