Join a growing company specialized in pet and children toys/products! The company owner is in great need of an ambitious toy designer that can bring innovative concepts and designs that will continue to move the company's brand forward. The Product Designer will work independently and have large creative freedom and range! The person in this role should have ample knowledge of the industry or previous experience in a toy design setting. You will be expected to be an adviser and expert on the toy creation process, from concept to delivery to manufacturers. As Product Designer, you will: Conceptualize a multitude of dog and children's toys including plush toys, beach toys, dog tag machines, and more! Pitch toy designs to owner and overseas manufacturer Create renderings/ digital 3D mockups of toys Ensure all design specs are true to scale and manufacture's specifications Keep strong communication with off site vendors to ensure product is true to design Conduct market research and pitch products in accordance to trends Assist with other design needs Prior Experience in the toy design industry or developing designs for children/ pet market Exceptional command of Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Experience with 3D Modeling software (AutoCAD, Maya, Rhino, Cinema 4D, etc.) Ability to sketch conceptual designs and pitch ideas Partake in brainstorming sessions, draw control art, fabric art, and build models Great presentation skills Ability to create toy mockups/renderings Experience creating designs for plush toys Communicate with outside vendors, including manufacturers BS/BA Degree and 5-7 years of industry experience (toys, entertainment, consumer products) Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish, Mandarin), Experience working with licensed properties, experience working with overseas vendors/manufacturers This is an on-site, full time opportunity around Baltimore, MD.
