Knorr Brake Company is seeking a HVAC Test Technician. Primary Responsibilities: Perform a variety of general mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations on HVAC units for use in the rail car industry, while adhering to quality requirements and best practices as provided through drawings and manufacturing work instructions. Adhere to manufacturing approved processes and standards for all work performed. Perform cost effective functional testing of HVAC components and systems, in a controlled lab environment with the ability to troubleshoot and identify failure modes. The troubleshooting includes mechanical, electrical and brazing repairs required in order to meet product specifications and acceptable test results. Adhere to quality requirements and notify supervisor of product deficiencies or design problems. Participate in all required training courses and practice learned methods in everyday work. Examples are KPS, 5S, torque training, crimp training, etc. Adhere to all safety requirements (including wearing the required protective equipment) and perform all work in a safe manner while on the shop floor.
