Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic/Carpenter Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for Maintenance Mechanic/Carpenter in Bethesda, MD. Duties & Responsibilities: Performs maintenance and repairs to all equipment under the direct supervision of his/her immediate superior. Repairs machinery or mechanical equipment. Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble; dismantle or partly dismantle machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts; replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock; ordering the production of a replacement part by a machine shop or sending the machine to a machine shop for major repairs; preparing written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from machine shops; reassembling machines and making all necessary adjustments for operation. Frame and finish work, painting, staining, etc., as well as the design, construction, installation and repair of wooden fixtures such as cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques, and other custom wood products. Qualifications: Must have and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with poly. Must have a minimum 3 years' experience working on a government facilities maintenance contract Unless a higher degree is specified in this job posting, all positions require a minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
