Octo Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a team in support of a Federal Government customer in Rockville, MD. This is to assume leadership of a successful contract providing application's development and support services for over 20+ applications. Includes the full range of day to day PM related duties including report generation, financial management and client communications. Will be responsible for success of the program and the staff resources on it. Responsibilities: Complete responsibility for all activities covering O&M and DME for a combined staff working across 7 technology platforms/disciplines Manage teams providing all-encompassing technical and non-technical support services to include software development, records management, and PMO Project and contract reporting in addition to developing written proposals/white papers for additional client requirements Ensure all project tasks, and scheduled deliverables are completed according to the specified time frame, budget, and contractual compliance Perform process coordination and daily workload management across the entire contract team Ensure risks and issues are tracked, reported, and mitigated, remediation plans are developed and communicated to the government Over 10 years of combined technical and management experience. 5+ years' IT Project Management experience. Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills. Minimum of 8 years (preferably more) of experience working in a Federal Government IT environment. Strong experience with at least some of the following technology stacks: Microsoft.Net, SharePoint, Drupal, IBM Cognos, BPM Platforms, AWS Cloud. Experience with, or knowledge of, DevOps applications team management. Project Management Professional (PMP) and / or Agile certification. Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced team environment. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Bachelor's Degree in related field. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Agile SDLC Desired requirements: Knowledge/experience of the financial management of a federal contract Master's degree Cloud Architecture/Engineering knowledge or experience Design, plan, execution and migration of applications or services to a cloud environment Federal Public Health Experience working as federal employee or a contractor Knowledge of, or familiarity with Records Management, PMO Operations, and/or Cyber Security/Information Assurance Education: Bachelor's Degree (or Master's) in a related field Certification(s): Project Management Professional (PMP) and / or Agile certification.
